Report: Trials of Gamaleya, AstraZeneca vaccine to start soon
MOSCOW, Dec 30 (PRIME) -- The Gamaleya research institute and AstraZeneca Clinical will soon start trials of a joint vaccine against the coronavirus in three countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev told channel Rossiya 24 late on Tuesday.
"We are going to start clinical trials in three countries literally very soon," Dmitriev said.
He also said that supplies of Sputnik V vaccine of the Gamaleya center to the U.S. and Europe will be limited because of the political issues.
"We are absolutely realistic about the geopolitical limitations of supplies to the U.S. Supplies to Europe will be restricted while we could deliver it to the people with allergies who have a strong response to some other vaccines," the official said.
He also said that Russia is in negotiations on export with Hungary and Serbia and will soon announce good news.
